Bible Verses for Diamonds by Hawk Nelson

Hawk Nelson - He's Making Diamonds Out of Us | scriptureand.blogspot.com

My family loves Diamonds by Hawk Nelson.  This song has a pretty simple premise: God used the difficult trials in our lives to make us better and more like Him.  The Bible talks about this in many ways.  It shows us examples in stories like Joseph being sold into slavery by His brothers, yet ultimately saving many from a famine.  A man was born blind just so that years later Jesus could heal him and bring God the glory. The Bible compares us to clay being molded by a potter and precious metals and stones being refined by fire.  Yet, God's Word reminds us that He is with us through the trials and that He is making us more like His Son.  It also tells us the purpose of all of it: bringing glory to God.

While I was looking through God's Word for some verses for this song, I kept coming back to Romans 8:26-39.  It hits all of the points in the song: difficult circumstances being used by God, the Spirit interceding in our prayers because God's ways are better than our plans, and God's love never leaving us even through terrible circumstances.  The depiction of the early Church martyrs as conquerors is a powerful one.  We can see these people in the worst of circumstances and yet triumphant because death can't take God from them.  In fact, it brings them to His very presence and they have this last opportunity on earth to bring Him glory.  These thoughts change our perspective.  We become trophies of God's grace (Ephesians 2:7) and each trial becomes a tool for God's glory.  No wonder James could "count it all joy" when he came into difficult circumstances.  God truly redeems each struggle in our life, bringing beauty out of ashes and diamonds out of dust.
Romans 8:26-39
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against Gods elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written,For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Here is coauthor Jon Steingard's explanation of this song:

Diamonds

Writers: Jason Ingram, Matthew Bronleewe, Jon Steingard

Verse 1:
Here and now I'm in the fire, in above my head
Isaiah 43:2 "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you."
Being held under the pressure, don't know what will be left
Psalm 66:10-12 For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins. You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.
But it's here in the ashes I'm finding treasure
James 1:2-4 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Chorus:
He's making diamonds, making diamonds
He's making diamonds out of dust
Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
1 Peter 1:6-7 In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
He is refining in his timing
He's making diamonds out of us
Isaiah 40:31 Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Verse 2:
I'll surrender to the power of being crushed by love
James 4:7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
Til the beauty that was hidden isn't covered up
Isaiah 61:1-3 (Darby) The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah hath anointed me to announce glad tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, that beauty should be given unto them instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness: that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.
It's not what I hoped for. It's something much better
God says in Isaiah 55:8-9  For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts."

Bridge:
Oh the joy of the Lord it will be my strength
Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said to them, Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
When the pressure is on He's making Diamonds
Malachi 3:17  (NKJV) They shall be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.
I won't be afraid to shine
Matthew 5:16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Cuz He's making diamonds out of dust
Making diamonds out of us
God says in Isaiah 48:10 "Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction."

My Favorite Resource for Bible Questions

Sometimes I read the Bible and it just makes sense.  Sometimes I have situations in my life and I can see the passages of Scripture that just fit my circumstances.  Sometimes I consider theological and ethical questions and find exactly what God has to say about them in His Word.  Sometimes.

When I can't find the answers I am looking for in the Bible, I ask for help.  I am very blessed to have several friends and family that can often point me to a verse in the Bible or explain something that just didn't make sense to me.

However, if you have questions and don't have someone to turn to for direction about God's Word, there is a place you can turn to ask questions.  While there are many sources you can look for answers to life's questions, this is one place where the answers will come from the Bible - Answers From The Book.

Answers From The Book has a website - answersfromthebook.net or you can follow them on Facebook.  Their mission is "to help others become more familiar with their Bibles by giving scriptural answers to questions asked."  I personally know the people who answer these questions and they are committed to following God's Word as closely as possible both in answering their questions and in living their lives.

If you have a question, you can contact them several different ways.
So, follow them on Facebook or bookmark their page on your browser, but definitely keep them in mind if you have a question and just can't seem to find the answer.

EPPing..........

"Edwardsia"..............its official..............i've started my newest EPP..........because it needed  a name to start with since it will take some time I had to think of something............I'll explain the meaning at another time but it got me thinking..........have i ever showed you one of my EPP tins............what's the essentials in it..........what comes with a Lucy Block from Shiralee Stitches and what supplies you might need if you want to start English Paper Piecing (and yes you need to add the word English as foundation paper piecing is a whole different thing)
Here is one of my tins...........I love tins for EPP..........
Essentials
- glue stick (missing)
- glue refills
- Bottomline thread
- needles (always have a spare)
- thimble
- scizzors
- optional thread cutter (on string/ribbon great when stitching in the car)
- nail file/emery board
- Hypafix (for my cracks if i get them in my thumbs)
- and of course prepared EPP project...........I use lots of snack size snap lock bags........keeps blocks or sections together until you join them together

I realised i had shown lots of packages and lots of blocks from Shiralee Stitches but not clearly what is in the package..........
I got one of the lastest Lucy Boston blocks........
So whats included..........
- your pieces of fabric
- paper pieces to make the block
- a photo of the whole block
- another photo usually one of the fussy cut "how to position" to get the same look........

Feeding, desilting, shirting shopping......

Daylight savings means more work.....thats why I hate it you end up inside too late.............when I got home from my full day of town work I went and did some farm work with Mr Chooky.............
The cows heard the truck start at the house so some were already at the gate waiting for us...........the others were coming from way out in the middle of the paddock..........
See in the middle of this photo the dust goes way back..........
come on hurry up and feed us............
We had to get some more hay yesterday............
it's becoming harder to get and more expensive..........I organised this before the price went up...........others are finally getting dry like we have been for ages.........hello we've been trying to tell you it was dry.......
actually it's definitely drought now but the government in NSW doesn't want to use this word.....idiots is all I can say.........
Drought is drought.............
It an insult to not even acknowledge it...........
I was driving the truck...........this is very scary............I don't drive the truck......2nd time ever......its just got a new windscreen so I took some pics thru it since it was so clean............

this dam is very low for it..............it has a great catch so fills very easy...........mind you i'm thinking the cows have gone off drinking this water which happened once before when it was very dry.............
we might have to move them paddocks.......not that any others have much water either.............the windmill has been causing us grief..............we had to pull it up the other day..........replace some buckets and put it back down................but the wind has been so unreliable lately we barely have enough water to shower in at the house........let alone wash......this system will be changed hopefully in the next week or so...........its another big expense but a permanent fix  and moving from wind power to solar power..........we cannot keep animals without water............and most of the dams here are dry...........it's only that the house dam is huge and we pump that water around the paddocks on the farm........BUT it does not go everywhere............
Since there is talk of rain after feeding we went desilting..........
this dam fills easy from some road drains helping it...........
there is a big metal scoop in the middle of the photo on this side of the dam.........once we start it ends up in the dam......
I was in the little tractor way out on the left top of this photo..........
its stinky and horrible..........there's a remains of a dead cow near the dam and a few dead sheep.........they all still stink..........so not glamorous............
there is about 1 metre of sloppy mud in here that we can pull out and it will hold more water.............
this was my view for the afternoon/evening...........I did get to watch a gorgeous huge moon rise thru the trees.........it was my payment for work........I took a pic but it didn't turn out to well.......
Still got lots to do here............
My little video today was a little dark but I pull the scoop into the dam and Mr Chooky was on a tractor on the other side and pulls the scoop full of mud out and me back wards....the big chain and wire ropes connect everything.......it gets very dusty as you keep going back and forwards on the same area...........
you end up with sore back and neck as lots of twisting and looking back.........
No matter how dry it is here the old cedar trees are putting on a beautiful display............
Onto the good stuff...........Shiralee Stitches puts great stuff together.............
I needed some more shirtings for Lucy 2.........I sent a pic of what I had and she added these 3 pieces...........a free pattern Little Charmers...........
I loved this Lucy block and got it also........
other essentials bottomline threads and glue............
I got some more kits for these pincushions when there were on special
and the papers on the bottom are the next big EPP project...........yes yes I know what your saying stop right there girl and get the the others finished but I have been thinking about this one for a few months and Sandy had the papers that I needed so i got her to send them...........this weekend I want to get block one done..............
&&&
thanks for all your comments on Boy Wonder.......he's home and resting to let his leg heal.......always a worry until things are all fixed up...........keeping him slow enough for long enough will now be the challenge so it can heal..........
Catch you later.....

Bible Verses for What A Beautiful Name

What a Beautiful Name

While I initially resisted this song due to its repetitive chorus (basically epitomizing the 7-11 stereotype of modern Christian worship), it won me over.  First of all, the verses are powerful, filled with references to God's Word.  Second, the choruses are true.  The name of our Lord is beautiful, wonderful, and powerful.  Finally, the psalms are filled with songs that are very repetitive.  (I wonder what critics of modern worship think of Psalm 136 and all those "For His love endures forevers?")

If you are interested in hearing the story behind the song:

What A Beautiful Name | scriptureand.blogspot.com

What A Beautiful Name

by Ben Fielding and Brooke Ligertwood

Verse 1:
You were the Word at the beginning
One with God, the Lord Most High.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Hebrews 1:1-2 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
Jesus said in John 10:30 "I and the Father are one.
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You, our Christ.
Speaking of Christ in Colossians 1:15-17 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authoritiesall things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
Colossians 1:26-27 that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Chorus 1:
What a beautiful name it is, what a beautiful name it is
The name of Jesus Christ, my King
What a beautiful name it is, nothing compares to this
What a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus
2 Thessalonians 1:12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Verse 2:
You didn't want heaven without us,*
So, Jesus, You brought heaven down.
1 Timothy 2:3-4 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Jesus said in John 12:32 "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."
Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
My sin was great; Your love was greater.
What could separate us now?
Romans 5:20-21 The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Chorus 2:
What a wonderful name it is, what a wonderful name it is
The name of Jesus Christ, my King
What a wonderful name it is, nothing compares to this
What a wonderful name it is, the name of Jesus
What a wonderful name it is, the name of Jesus
Philippians 2:9-11 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Bridge 1:

Death could not hold You; the veil tore before You.
About Jesus in Acts 2:24 But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.
Matthew 27:50-51 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.
You silenced the boast of sin and grave.
1 Corinthians 15:55-56 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The heavens are roaring the praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again.
Psalm 19:1 The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Speaking of Jesus in Acts 2:24 But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power

Bridge 2:
You have no rival; You have no equal.
Speaking of Jesus in Hebrews 1:3-4 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
Speaking of Jesus in Colossians 1:18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything
Now and forever, God, You reign.
Luke 1:31-33 "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end."
Yours is the Kingdom; Yours is the glory.
Matthew 6:13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Yours is the Name above all names.
Ephesians 1:20-21 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

Chorus 3:

What a powerful name it is, what a powerful name it is
The name of Jesus Christ my King
What a powerful name it is, nothing can stand against
What a powerful name it is, the name of Jesus
Peter spoke of Jesus in Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved."
_________________________________________________

* Concerning some controversy over these lyrics, I do understand that God did not create us because He needed us.
Acts 17:24-25 The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things;
However, the lyrics don't say that He needed us, but that He wanted us.
Jesus said in John 17:24 "Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world."
1 Corinthian 1:9 God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
I believe the point of the author is that God loved us enough to create us, knowing we would reject Him, and to save us, though we were not worthy of His redemption.

Bible Verses for My Times Are In Thy Hand

My Times are in Thy Hand

My Times Are In Thy Hand by William F. Lloyd | scriptureand.blogspot.com

Everyone has songs that are encouraging to them during tough times.  This hymn encourages us that we can trust God during these difficult times.  He always has a purpose and He cares about us, so much so that Jesus died for our sins.

Here is a beautiful version of this song:

This is the tune that I am most familiar with for this hymn:

My Times Are In Thy Hand

by William F. Lloyd

Verse 1:
My times are in Thy hand;
My God, I wish them there;
Psalm 31:15 My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.
My life, my soul, my all I leave
Entirely to Thy care.
1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

Verse 2:
My times are in Thy hand;
Whatever they may be;
Job 12:9-10 Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?"
Pleasing or painful, dark or bright,
As best may seem to Thee.
Psalm 62:8 Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Verse 3:
My times are in Thy hand;
Why should I doubt or fear?
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?
Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 118:6  The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?
My Fathers hand will never cause
His child a needless tear.
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Ephesians 1:11-12 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.

Verse 4
:

My times are in Thy hand,
Jesus, the crucified!
Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christthis Jesus whom you crucified.
Those hands my cruel sins had pierced
Isaiah 53:5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
Are now my guard and guide.
Zacharias said about Jesus in Luke 1:78-79 "Because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise from on high will visit us, to shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

Verse 5
:

My times are in Thy hand,
Ill always trust in Thee;
Psalm 31:14-15 But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord, I say, You are my God. My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.
And, after death, at Thy right hand
I shall forever be.
Philippians 1:21-24 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

Crazy.....

What's a girl to do when they forecast record heat for Sept and strong winds..........

Did you do something dumb and crazy yesterday in the heat????
&&&&
playing with Lucy2.......i've been talking about her for some time now.......around I love making the feature blocks of Lucy Bostons quilt Patchwork of the Crosses but I don't think I love it that much to make a full on second quilt..........but I am working on my own quicker idea...........
today I was trying to nut out my idea I have in my head..........
the blocks on the right and top are not the correct size backgrounds...........I was hoping to use a 10in layer cake that I had but they are not big enough........also testing out a couple of sizes on the crosses.......the bigger ones are winning......and all will be fussy cut.......
not sure if I want a plainer background or even another colour but this one was a bigger piece to try the idea on.......
and looking at this photo the stripey background second one down on the left will not be staying in there.......I wasn't keen on it but used it now playing as it was the right colour.............
What do you think of Lucy2???

Bible Verses to Overcome

Overcome | Revelation 12:11 | scriptureand.blogspot.com

Overcome

by John Egan

Verse 1:
Seated above, enthroned in the Father's love
Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Destined to die, poured out for all mankind
About Jesus, in 1 Peter 1:20-21 For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
Revelation 13:8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain
Titus 3:4-7 But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
God's only Son, perfect and spotless One
1 John 4:9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
1 Peter 1:18-19 knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
He never sinned but suffered as if He did
1 Peter 2:22-24 For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
All authority, ev'ry victory is Yours
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."

Chorus:
Savior, worthy of honor and glory
Revelation 5:11-12 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.
Worthy of all our praise. You overcame.
Revelation 5:5 and one of the elders *said to me, Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals.
Jesus, awesome in power forever.
Luke 6:19 And all the people were trying to touch Him, for power was coming from Him and healing them all.
Awesome and great is Your Name. You overcame.
Ephesians 1:20-21 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
Revelation 17:14 "These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.

Verse 2:
With power in hand, speaking the Father's plan.
Matthew 7:28 When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.
Speaking of the Father, Jesus said in John 7:16 So Jesus answered them and said, My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me."
You're sending us out, light in this broken land.
Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;"
John 12:35-36 So Jesus said to them, For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.

Bridge:
We will overcome, by the blood of the Lamb
And the word of our testimony, ev'ryone overcome
Revelation 12:10-12  Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.
