Hippity Hoppity Number Line Activities

Spring will be here before you know it, so I wanted to create something with a little bit of Spring feeling (as I cannot wait for the Spring time weather). In addition to something Spring-like, I wanted to create a LARGE number line that can be used as a floor center activity. With this set, students would work with the number line to get familiar with addition, subtraction, counting on, etc. by manipulating the bunny (hopping him left and right on the number line). Hope this small group or center activity is useful for you! Click on the image below to grab yourself a copy!

This Hippity Hoppity Easter Bunny LARGE number line can be used during small group time or as an individual/group center activity.

This set works on the following skills:

* Counting 0-10 or 0-20 or 0-30
* Skip Counting by 2s
* Missing Number on Number Line
* Adding and Subtracting with Number Line
* Counting on from given number
* One More/One Less
* Ten More/Ten Less

The set includes the following materials:

* Directions
* Activity Ideas Sheet
* Large Number Line Plain (easily assembled) either 0-10, 0-20, or 0-30
* Large Number Line with Eggs (easily assembled) either 0-10, 0-20, or 0-30
* Large Bunny graphic (for hopping on number line)
* Dice cut out
* Egg Number cards (0-30)
* 8 Direction cards (with visual directions) for each activity
* 7 Activity recording sheets (for different activities)

Don't want to handle 6 more weeks...

Really?!? Blah... I do love a little bit of snow and winter time feel, but I am through with it for a while! I am ready to get out my capri pants (keep my flip flops out year round... just in case I need them ;). Saw this when I awoke this morning... phooey! Does anyone know how often he is correct? I hope he's wrong this year... LOL!

Christmas Carol Puzzle (neat bit of history)

A few years back during a faculty meeting, our principal pulled out an old Christmas Carol Puzzle for us to try and figure out. Of course, there was a little prize for the first group to correctly solve each puzzle. Now that Christmas is quickly approaching (and because I want to do something fun with the kiddos these last 2 days before the holiday break), I revisited this little puzzle. I thought it would be interesting to see which carols the students know! I did adjust the puzzle slightly and do not take credit for the idea. If you want to know about the history of this puzzle and the many variations throughout the years, please visit this website: http://ssqq.com/archive/christmaspuzzlemore.htm

(Also have a word scramble below - no answer sheet - good luck!)

Since I have just begun selling my items, I am in the process of creating Paypal buttons for all items. Until then, please email me if you would like to purchase something, and I will send a Paypal invoice.
