Chookshed Party...........part 2...........

the autumn colour is gorgeous on my Chinese Tallowwood..........
the days were glorious and the nights pretty chilly............

thank you girls for joining me to celebrate the Chooksheds 5th birthday......... I think 7 would have to be the max number in the chookshed..........

Diddles picked up her new turtle family from Sonia..........

I always say quilting is an addiction...........and it sure is when your opening dodgy little foil packages.............

but look what appeared...........

Sonia worked on hand stitching all her flowers down.........

I am making my quilt from this book............

I saw Debs quilt at GDITC show and tell.......I knew  I wanted to make one.......

the book arrived last Friday...........

slowly getting there..........I think it needs another block of yellow...........

And I still have a few to move around by the looks of this pic..........

in the end I just shoved the unfinished block up to get an idea of how it  was going.............

Sadly all to quickly everyone was gone and the weekend was over..............
thanks to everyone who joined in virtually....
blogland is the best and i'll be hanging out here for many years to come yet
I've been getting around the blog commenting and i hope I have not missed anyone............
thankyou for helping celebrate......its nice to know we are sewing together in our own little spots on the planet..........linked with needle and thread..........

Chookshed Party part 1.............

Friday night started with a double birthday celebration...........

one for Lea and one for the Chookshed.......

lots of group selfies, food, wine, bubbles and G & T..............

I had a great idea Some idiot had a great idea that we could all make a tincy wincy log cabin pincushion............

mine ended up a disaster but I will be making another one soon............

early sunrise morning walks............

4kms on Sat...........5kms on Sunday.........

Diddles little creatures quilt just needed sashing and borders and it was done..........looks great............and the projects on the left grew to the ones below..........

Lea worked on the whales and Alison a Tilda quilt.............She actually brought it along last year but the yardage was not right and she needed to get some extra bits...........

This is Miss Jules quilt from retreat last year..........

I hadn't seen it all together........

Miss Jules had nothing to show for the weekend as she was busy cutting and working out a new quilt..........

Kate who cursed and cursed...........actually I think everyone cursed the little log cabins but she is in love now..........

Winter and almost Chookshed party time..........

winter is almost here and it's getting a head start tomorrow...........beautiful 23 today and 17 tomorrow............and the nights are getting colder.........we've had the fire  going for a few nights but only just needed it - that is changing tomorrow as the mornings get much colder.........

The Chookshed party is next weekend 3-4th June.........

I know quite a few of you said you were joining.........
don't worry about commenting here closer to the weekend I will do a linky like last year so it is easy to see who's joining us for the party..........

put the family on notice............

no interruptions......

no housework.........

buy in some easy to prepare food...........

pop a bottle of bubbles..........

get the sewing machine humming........

kick back with the hand stitching.........

whatever it is your do I hope you can enjoy the weekend with us next weekend............

the Chookshed is going to be bursting at the seams with 7-8 of  us..........but I can't wait it is going to be so much fun..........
