Lord Jesus, We Remember
by James G. Deck
Verse 1:
Lord Jesus, we rememberThe travail of Thy soul,
About Jesus in 1 Corinthians 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.When, through Thy love's deep pity,
The waves did o'er Thee roll;
Psalms 42:7 Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me.Baptized in death's dark waters,
For us Thy blood was shed;
Jesus said in Luke 12:50 "But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished!"
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.For us Thou, Lord of glory,
Wast numbered with the dead.
1 Corinthians 2:8 the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;
About the Messiah in Isaiah 53:12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.
O Lord! Thou now art risen,
Thy travail all is o'er;
1 Corinthians 15:20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.

Unto Thy death baptized,
We own with Thee we died:
Romans 6:3-4 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

Alive with Thee to God.
